10th year as Blue Ribbon music program

Deep Run High School is one of only two schools in Virginia with a current 10-year-long unbroken streak as a Blue Ribbon Award winner from the Virginia Music Educators Association. To earn this distinction, a school must have "superior performance as evidenced by the district festival rating from each of the top performing groups of each ensemble course taught at the school (band, choir, and orchestra)."
